Skills & Learning Festival @ South East!
Over the weekend of 17 August and 18 August, the Skills & Learning Festival @ South East attracted a crowd of about 5,000 participants. The event was designed to empower job seekers, showcased nearly 20 booths offering opportunities in the growth economy and career transition tailored to meet the needs of today’s job market.
The festival showcased opportunities for individuals to upskill themselves through the various SkillsFuture initiatives. Participants had access to various booth by training partners such as ITE College East, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and Singapore Institute of Retail Studies, offering a comprehensive platform for professional growth. Additionally, the festival featured various dedicated zones:

Career & Assistance Zones: Featuring organisations such as Workforce Singapore, NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), SATS Ltd, NTUC U Women & Family, Yayasan MENDAKI, and Agape Connecting People, this zone provided social assistance and career resources to attendees.

Growth Economy Zone: Featuring organisations within the digital, green and care economies such as Lithan Academy, NATC Institute and DancingMind Pte Ltd, to provide participants with insights and opportunities in these growth sectors.

Career Transition Zone: This zone focused on courses with clear employment outcomes, assisting participants in transitioning to new career paths.
A participant of the Skills & Learning Festival @ South East and South East resident, Mdm Katijah Baharudin, 52, shared her experience, "Participating in the event broadened my understanding of the industry’s growth sectors and provided me with the knowledge and skills to enhance my employability.
