When Maybank Singapore reached 65 years of serving the community, they celebrated with heart, not fanfare. The Maybank SG60 Silver Buddies @ South East became more than corporate social responsibility – it was a partnership with South East CDC that wove Maybank's resources into local community life.


With Maybank's funding, the programme transforms corporate volunteering into authentic community connections through direct, hands-on engagement with residents. It is corporate responsibility reimagined – where giving becomes partnership and impact becomes lasting transformation.

Since July 2025, something beautiful has been unfolding across the South East District as Maybank volunteers rolled up their sleeves and opened their hearts, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary connections. Through partnerships with 4S Active Ageing Centre @ Eunos Crescent, The Salvation Army Peacehaven Bedok Arena, Thye Hua Kwan Active Ageing Centre @ MacPherson, Care Community Services Society, Helping Joy, and Thye Hua Kwan Family Service Centre @ MacPherson, the programme weaves together communal dining sessions filled with shared laughter, gentle assistance during grocery shopping trips, festive celebrations that light up faces, care packs that deliver warmth beyond their contents and home cleaning services that sweep away not just dust, but loneliness too. It's not just about providing essentials or improving living conditions – though this matter deeply – it's about the families whose homes become a sanctuary again after volunteers restore their comfort, creating a community where no one walks alone and care flows as naturally as conversations over a shared meal.
